Leading From Behind, Workshop

Date: 3 March 2016 14:00

Dwight E Eisenhower said:“Leadership is the Art of getting someone else to do something you want because he wants it done.  At the PA Show join this workshop which  provides the benefit of two inspirational speakers who would like your participation, because  “Tell me and I forget; Show me and I remember, Involve me and I understand”   ‘Chinese Proverb’   The dictionary defines ‘Assistant’ as doing a ‘SHARE’ of the work by providing money or information. Leaders set direction, build an inspiring vision, and create something new. Leadership is about mapping out where you need to go to “win” as a team or an organisation; and it is dynamic, exciting, and inspiring. Yet, while leaders set the direction, they must also use management skills to guide their people to the right destination, in a smooth and efficient way.  All very familiar to those who work in administration at every level but not always grasped in organisation. The workshop will involve you in positive ways to demonstrate your wide and strong understanding of the business and involve your Management.

In the fast pace world of business today the role of the Administrator often extends far beyond the profile norm. Whether representing bosses at meetings or organising conferences the modern Administrator assumes more responsibility than ever before.  But where do we draw the line between assisting, managing – and leading?  More importantly how do we invite recognition, reward and remuneration for the value we are bringing to the company? The workshop aim to help you evolve in role while effortlessly steering colleagues towards achieving company goals and ‘stretch your thinking and approach’ to prove you can lead from behind!

Catherine and Simone will be available on London PA Network Stand 1A17 for 1:1 sessions on Thursday, 3 March 2016 at 1530 hrs
